O objectivo focou-se no desenvolvimento de um projecto performativo cuja linguagem usa o corpo (dança) como matéria primordial. Interessado em voltar a explorar esta matéria, recomeço um novo trabalho, Still golden.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Still Golden é uma criação que tem origem em dois lugares distintos mas de grande carga simbólica para mim. Um deles é o espaço de trabalho do meu avô e o outro é um campo em cinzas.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Recentemente tive a oportunidade de visitar o espaço de trabalho do meu falecido avô. Em pequeno sempre me foi negado o acesso, os únicos contactos que tive foram as poucas visitas feitas às escondidas. Visitas rápidas e secretas que ao longo da minha vida serviram de matéria para efabular sobre as potencialidades desse espaço. Agora que tenho acesso livre, decidi documentá-lo através de fotografia, som e vídeo.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;O encontro com o outro lugar foi um pouco ocasional. No decurso de uma viagem parei perto de um campo recentemente ardido. Decidi registá-lo ao mesmo tempo em que pensava na forma como, através da dança, poderia inserir o meu corpo nessa paisagem. Outras questões surgiram: como poderia estando lá, tornar-me imperceptível? De que forma o corpo iria mudar? E o espaço, que paisagem seria essa?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;No trabalho em estúdio comecei por recriar ambos os espaços usando diferentes materiais e as várias captações sonoras. Estes objetos cénicos ou esculturas sonoras, como lhes chamo, possibilitaram diferentes perspectivas de observação, percepção e de interação física. Durante o processo, passei a integrar o corpo e a eliminar alguns dos materiais, tornando o corpo protagonista, referência e matriz organizadora.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Embora estes dois lugares poucas relações tenham entre si, com ambos estabeleci, pelos mais variados motivos, relações empáticas que acredito complementares neste trabalho. Através do corpo procuro correspondências, quer seja a partir de gestos, do movimento ou da imobilidade, do aleatório, do residual, do som...&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Still golden assume assim o corpo como paisagem. Nas fases iniciais do projecto falámos muito sobre as relações amorosas, quer relações mais actuais ou de outros tempos. Falámos das nossas idealizações e experiências pessoais. Levantámos questões de identidade cultural, e neste sentido mais um milhão de portas se abriu.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;E agora? Interessa-nos a forma como as pessoas se relacionam - e ao falar em relação falamos em comunicação - aproximação, confronto, dependência (…). "Amo-te" em português, resume-se num trabalho performativo em torno de discussões e experimentações com o corpo e com a palavra como consequente da química que nos aproxima - duas pessoas com motivações, historiais, percepções e frustrações dispares.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; À exploração performativa tenho aliado outros meios de expressão, como o vídeo a fotografia, que fazem com que a dança deixe de ser particularmente importante, ou presente. O frequente uso de objectos, significantes para mim, faz também com que o resultado dos meus trabalhos se aproxime mais da instalação performativa. Em 2010, em jeito de balanço, criei o espectáculo “Tarde de Mais Mariana 2006-2010”, que consistiu na recriação de todo o material que trabalhei durante esses cinco anos. O encerrar de um ciclo? A minha mais recente performance, “Inverno de 2011”, surge como uma tentativa de romper com a tendência anterior de colocar a dança num segundo plano. Interessava-me a ideia de desenvolver um "objecto performativo”, onde o meu corpo (dança) fosse a principal matéria. Nas primeiras sessões de trabalho, tive como motivação a frase da bailarina e coreógrafa Martha Graham, "The body says what words can not". A minha intenção era testar esta afirmação de forma a descobrir pistas para posteriormente desenvolver o meu trabalho. No decorrer das improvisações percebi que tentava constantemente controlar algo que me parecia incontrolável, o que me estava a suscitar inúmeras questões e entraves. Após um período de pausa, decidi de novo enfrentar a afirmação de Martha Graham, acabando por torná-la no ponto fulcral da peça: iria trabalhar sobre um território onde a poética da dança se tornasse a única solução, adquirindo o corpo a possibilidade de dizer algo que a palavra não pudesse dizer. A peça começou então a compor-se. A partir da experimentação e da exploração de movimentos, do registo, da repetição e do acaso começa a surgir uma narrativa. Tornou-se claro para mim que esta teria que reflectir as memórias que guardo sobre as minhas primeiras experiências com a dança, precisamente! Nesta performance, para além de autor sou narrador e sujeito. Selecciono, interpreto e arquivo dados da minha memória. Refiro-me essencialmente às motivações e ambições de quando, aos doze anos, iniciei a minha formação em ballet. “Inverno de 2011” regista um tempo, uma etapa: o repensar ou um reinventar da minha relação com a dança.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;b&gt;EN&amp;nbsp;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;I began creating in 2006 and in the whole of my work, the autobiographical approach has been the common denominator: the material I bring into the studio springs essencially from issues related to my memory and identity. I have combined the exploitation in performance with other means of expression, such as video and photography, making the dance no longer particularly important, or present. In view of the frequent use of objects that are significant to me, the result of my work comes closer to performative installation.&lt;br /&gt;In 2010, as a sort of balance, I created the show "Tarde Demais Mariana 2006-2010", which consisted in recreating all the material I worked with during those five years. The end of a cycle? My most recent performance, "Inverno de 2011", appears as an attempt to break the previous trend of putting dance in the background. I was interested in the idea of developing a "performative object", where my body (dance) would be the main issue. In the first working sessions, I was motivated by a quote of the dancer and choreographer Martha Graham: "The body says what words can not". My intention was to test this statement in order to find clues for further development of my work. During improvisations I realized that I was constantly trying to control something that seemed uncontrollable to me, and therefore raised many issues and barriers. After a pause, I decided to confront the affirmation of Martha Graham again, eventually making it the central part of the piece: I would work on a territory where the poetics of dance would become the only solution, and the body would get the chance to say what words could not. The piece began to take shape. From the experimentation and exploration of movement, record, repetition and random, a narrative begins to emerge. It became clear to me that it would have to reflect precisely the memories I keep of my first experiences with dance! In this performance, as well as the author, I am the narrator and the subject. I select, interpret and archive data from my memory. I refer essentially to the motivations and ambitions I had when I began my training in ballet at twelve years old. E é neste desafio que procuro estratégias e soluções "para uma não significação de fim". A "construção" de circunferências é a metáfora que tendo a usar para encontrar no fecho uma forma de recomeçar. O objectivo principal, era desta forma abrir o processo criativo partindo de recolha de outras ferramentas e materiais que fossem possíveis de levar para estúdio. Estas entrevistas, que com o decorrer se transformaram numa troca de ideias enriquecedoras conversas informais, desprendiam-se ou tinham como base a simplicidade dos temas amor e fim, através de uma noção de que ambos seriam inseparáveis.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;As conversas registadas foram sem dúvida documentos preponderantes para o desenvolvimento deste projecto, estabelecendo um inicio ou mesmo uma metáfora de fuga. Durante as entrevistas, o silêncio que acontecia entre cada pergunta ou após uma resposta, transformou-se no elemento mais relevante para esta criação. Esta omissão ou sensação de vazio provocaram um sentido de fim, que por vezes procurava uma continuidade. A pós a revisão de todos os registos, guardei somente as situações de silêncio que me pareciam revelar o suficiente: o não saber responder, não querer, não valer a pena, não se encontrar a expressão certa, o desistir, procurar um modo de terminar da melhor forma, a sensação de que não se foi suficientemente explícito ou o não fazer sentido algum.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Este quase encostar a parede, torna visível a metáfora de limite e dimensão entre duas pessoas que comunicam e, o que poderá existir uma questão e a receptividade de criar uma resposta.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;WALL surge desta limitação de espaço. Do inicio ao fim. De alguma forma, o próximo sucede o anterior, e é neste sucedâneo que emerge uma problematização de indiciar o concluir de uma peça. Ao abordar esta questão com distância, reflicto sobre estratégias para nomear a encenação do momento como final.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;No cinema, somos sobrecarregados por vezes pelo modo como o último quadro de um filme carrega o peso de todo o procedente narrativo. Esse momento acciona uma relação quase incontornável no espectador.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Independentemente de qualquer composição cinematográfica, debruço-me unicamente sobre obras que reúnem nas ultimas imagens o poder de se excederem e de firmar nessa duração. Ícones femininos como Marilyn Monroe, Marlene Dietrich, Vera Lynn, Nina Simone (...) tornaram-se partes fundamentais desta procura.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"&gt;A criação de um musical feminino, e a tentativa de o deslocar no tempo (história) e no espaço, surge como primeira experiência a guardar deste projecto.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"&gt;Contudo, com o decorrer do processo criativo, "Charlotte O`Day" assume novos rumos, levantando e problematizando questões de género: sendo o género uma questão não biológica, concebo um espaço performativo (espaço seguro), para habitar o meu corpo codificado socialmente como masculino e ser feminino. Refiro-me por exemplo a "Ares ludovise", "Hermes Belveder" (...).&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Concluo que no âmbito deste processo, e no seu desenvolvimento, percebo que este trabalho se estaria a afastar da presença do público. Com esta preocupação e com a percepção do outro, imerge novo material (coreográfico e plástico), proveniente do questionamento relativo a ponte que une o publico ao performer.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;O que subsiste entre "nós"? Não só aquilo que nos separa, mas também o que nos aproxima. Dentro desta problemática, "CATÁLOGO", procura criar um lugar íntimo com o presente espectador - perceber e aceitar, que o meu trabalho até então desenvolvido, surja de abordagens autobiográficas - concluo que este projecto, seja uma constante conquista (work in progress) e aceitação comum desta exposição ao qual me sujeito.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;(...) Contudo, dou continuidade ao perverso ao despido e ao irónico. text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;"Brian Slade" surge como consequência da minha primeira performance, intitulada de "Tarde demais Mariana".&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Se em "Tarde demais Mariana" suscito memórias da minha infância, em "Brian Slade" realizo um desejo (fetiche) de adolescente.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Brian Slade é o nome da personagem do filme Velvet Goldmine realizado em 1998 por Todd Haynes.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Notifico este filme como o mais marcante da minha adolescência, cuja personagem viveu e se prolongou no meu imaginário. text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;"Tarde demais Mariana", é o meu primeiro trabalho performativo com alusão à dança, desenvolvido com o decorrer da minha formação na escola profissional balleteatro.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Esta peça tem como ponto de partida, a obra de mesmo título, da escritora portuguesa Filomena Cabral.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Embora a obra integral seja uma referência para esta performance, debrucei-me essencialmente em dois dos textos.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;É importante também referir, que a performance não procura ilustrar ou narrar esta história. Os textos provocaram o levantamento de duas questões, às quais procurei resolver, através de uma viagem à minha infância.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;No primeiro texto a autora descreve pormenorizadamente um lugar. Usando o mesmo método de descrição, procurei reviver a memória da minha primeira casa. O material resultante incentivou a uma pesquisa de movimento a qual designei de composição de espaços coreográficos.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;O segundo texto, ao qual se assume relacionado com o primeiro, refere-se a uma descrição de vários segredos e refúgios que habitam aquele lugar.
